All VPN with static dedicated IP began to support the RDP port forwarding. Port for OpenVPN connection is a standard - 3389. For the PPTP connection works port 3390.

Due to this feature it is possible to accept connections on the RDP port through Windows Remote Assistance, or use any other application.

Instruction on setup of OpenVPN connection in Windows Mobile

To setup an OpenVPN connection, we advice to install the program to memory card using:

ActiveSync - download.
CAB file - it’s necessary to download CAB file into the memory of PDA and launch the installation clicking twice the file.

After the installation, the the icon OpenVPN will appear in the system tray (right bottom corner of PDA display)

To work with OpenVPN connection, it is necessary to download the archive with certificates and unpack it to the folder "Program Files/OpenVPN/config" on PDA.

In the section Subscriptions in the panel, it is necessary to download the configuration file "client.ovpn" (or files, if you bought the access to several VPN сservers). The file "client.ovpn" should be also extracted to the folder "Program Files/OpenVPN/config" on PDA.

To connect to the VPN service, it is necessary to click the icon in the tray with the right button of the mouse and choose "Start From Config".

When the list appears, choose the connection that you wish to connect to, for example, "de_client".

After successful connection to VPN server , the displays on the icon will turn green.
