How to Setup OpenVPN conection in program Tunnelblick on Mac OS X
To setup OpenVPN connection on any version of Apple Mac OS X - 10.4 (Tiger), 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion) needs to download a program Tunnelblick.
Run installer and in the next window double click to icon Tunnelblick.app.
For continue press button "Open".
Type your user's password for installation of program by default.
Click "Launch" to run application.
In the next window click "Open".
Click to "I have configuration files".
Choose "Tunnelblick VPN Configuration".
In the next window click "Done".
Unmark "Include anonymous system profile" if you do not want to allow Tunnelblick to send a logs to developer of program.
For automatic updates click "Check Automatically".
Go to section Subscriptions in your account. Choose tab "MacOS/Linux" from desired subscription and download configuration file for Tunnelblick on Desktop. For example, United Kingdom (UK).tblk.zip
Unzip archive and you will see file, like United Kingdom (UK).tblk.
To install this configuration file to program Tunnelblick just double click to file United Kingdom (UK).tblk.
Install this configuration "Only for myself" or "For all users".
Your configuration is installed successfully. Click "Ок".
To connect click to icon Tunnelblick in the top right corner and choose "Connect...".
In the next window type Username (Username VPN) and Password (Password VPN). This information you can see in section Subscriptions.
Mark "Save in Keychain" if you want to save Username and Password for future connections.
OpenVPN connection is established successfully. Icon of Tunnelblick is changed.
Possible connection errors
In some cases a program Tunnelblick can reconnect VPN connection constantly each 5 seconds.
Click to icon of Tunnelblick and choose "VPN Details...".
At the time of reconnection will be seen the next log of connection with line "DNS configuration has changed".
To remedy this situation, need to choose:
- Configuration.
- Tab "Settings".
- a) unmark "Monitor network settings", or b) experimental way to choose a method of installing DNS. In our case is working "Set nameserver (3.1)".
This sequence of steps necessary for each configuration from the list!
