All VPN with static dedicated IP began to support the RDP port forwarding. Port for OpenVPN connection is a standard - 3389. For the PPTP connection works port 3390.

Due to this feature it is possible to accept connections on the RDP port through Windows Remote Assistance, or use any other application.

How to Setup PPTP VPN connection on Windows XP

To setup PPTP connection on Windows XP go to "Start -> Control Panel".

Click to "Switch to Classic View".

Choose a "Network connections".

Click to "Create a new connection".

In the next window choose "Connect to the network at my workplace".

Then choose "Virtual Private Network connection".

Type name of connection, for example, "VPN - TheSafety.US" and press "Next".

In the next window you need to type IP address of VPN server which you can see in section Subscriptions in your account.

PPTP connection is created.

If you want to place a shortcut on the desktop  then mark checkbox.

You need to check properties of connection. Press on button "Properties".

On tab "Options" unmark "Include Windows logon domain".

Go to tab "Networking" and chooseе "Type of VPN: PPTP VPN". Click "Ок".

You should type User name (Username VPN) and Password (Password VPN). This information you can see in section Subscriptions in your account.

Mark "Save this user name and password for the following users" only in that case if you are sure nobody can get access to your computer.

After username and password checking, your connection will be established successfully. Icon with 2 monitors will appear in system tray.
